This group exhibition features portraiture and figurative works by 31 artists spanning the last century, including Brian Alfred, Nobuyoshi Araki, Diane Arbus, Francis Bacon, Chuck Close, John Currin, Alberto Giacometti, Willem de Kooning, Robert Mapplethorpe, Tony Matelli, Jonathan Meese, Francis Picabia, Pablo Picasso, David Salle, and Tom Wesselmann. This exhibition focuses on the psychological theories developed by Sigmund Freud as a critical lens through which to observe the inner psyches of both artist and subject.

This double-plated photogravure, produced especially for 'Mythologies', derives from Collishaw's insecticide series of photographs that resemble enlargements of microscope slides. They include moths, spiders, wasps and dragonflies that have been caught and squashed behind the glass of 35mm transparencies then quickly scanned in high resolution and enlarged to an epic scale.
